Throughout the history,the Chinese folk music has never interrupted the communication,and has become more diversified in the process of the communication.Nowadays,with the opening and the strength of China,more and more people over the world are using various means to know the Chinese folk music.Guqin(ancient zither)is an ancient and mysterious instrument of China.Guqin not only carries out nearly three thousand years' history and culture of China,but also aims to enlightening people.The Chinese Guqin music is the essence of Chinese folk music and a representative of Chinese writers and poets.Ancient writers and poets are all love in Guqin,they expressed their feelings through Guqin music and considered Guqin could benefit one's mood.In recent years,with the declaration of Guqin as one of the intangible cultural heritage,more and more people are paying attention to Guqin,and looking forward to relaxation and releasing the pressure through learning and listening to Guqin music.However,in the history of the music exchange between China and the West,the Chinese folk music has always given the West an exotic impression.In the collision of Chinese and Western cultures,it is important and urgent to find out the values which could be recognized by both China and the west.Thus,it requires us to be more active in exploring the use of traditional Chinese music in music therapy and music education etc.On the basis of previous studies,I am going to select some representative of the Guqin music to carry out a experimental testing.Combined with the experimental test results and theoretical research,this essay is going to conduct a comprehensiveanalysis to explore the similarities and differences of the emotion identification of Guqin music between the Chinese students and Western students.This essay draws the following conclusion:1?The emotion on the Guqin music of chinese and western subjects are mostly different at the degree,the deviation of type is tiny.For Chinese and western subjects,the positive emotions in the music can be easily identified.Positive and strong emotion has the smallest data deviation in two types of guqin music.The following is medium positive tracks.while the most nagative strong kind has the lagrgest deviation.2?The sound area and the speed of the Guqin music have great impact on the emotional recognition of two types of the subjects.The higher the range is,the emotion recognized will be brighter and the emotional difference of the two types will be smaller.But the impact of the range of Guqin music on the recognition of emotion will be smaller compared to that of the speed.
