People in the ancient time consider that birth, becoming old, getting ill and death are the four major events in their lives. Life is a period during which there are frightens between life and death. Disease, especially infections disease, is the greatest threat to human beings, whose incidence and prevalence matter the social stability and the existence of a country. All the countries regard as the study to the plague is an eternal task. The record about plague of Shandong areas in Qing Dynasty is an important part of the nature, which do a lot good for us to learn the characteristics of where the plague happens, the cause of the disaster, the harm it bring to the society and what measures the people took to face the plague. Also it helps us know what we the modern society should do to fight against the plague; to reduce and t eliminate the references of the disaster.The record about the condition of the plague in Shandong areas in Qing Dynasty shows the following characteristics. There was a plague per 3.24 years in these areas at that time. The frequentness of the plague is 32.4%. In terms of the time it shows that the biggest plague occurred in the period of Gangue. In terms of the season, it tells us that the disaster mainly took place in summer or autumn at that time. When it referred to the space it gives us such information that at that time, the part where the plague mainly happened in Shandong central and western regions of Shandong is the focus of the plague disasters. The northeastern part of Shandong Peninsula, which, however, the times and Frequency of the diseases are the same as other regions. In terms of the pestilence cycle, at that time the disasters are a long term size that the plague occurred with increasing degree of risk.There were many kinds of plagues in Qing Dynasty in Shandong areas. The climate, the topography, and the disasters of rivers and lacks all can cause or strengthen the plague. In addition, there is a directed or indirect relationship between the prevalence of disease and the local population, economy, heath care, social customs and other social factors. The plague of Shandong areas is the result of natural environment and social environment.When pestilence happens, it will cause significant social harm. The most impact that the plague causes to society is the population mortality and population migration. The lager member of people's dying of plague, especially adults, can cause severe loss of cities and villages, and giving the local economy and the production a devastating blow. The measures that all the people in that areas taken would reduce the harm to society at the moment on one hand, on the other hand it can promote the settings of public health system in Shandong areas, and the cause of changing people'fear into treatment, meanwhile, it also give the general public the concept of environment and health. All of these give us modern society much experience of how to prevention plague especially severe infectious diseases.
