American Protestant missionaries Peter Parker lived in China for two decades, and his activities related to religious advocacy, medical facilities, China-US diplomacy and other fields. At present, the academic study of Peter Parker, is more emphasis on certain of his activities in China, the focus is Analyzing the missionaries's involvement in secular activities. This article tries to finish related information through the system collection, attempts from Peter Parker's religious background, through the perspective of his activities in China to see the impact on missionary work, and then discusses its pagan understanding of China.Body is divided into five parts. Part I: through Peter Parker's the early religious education to perspect his strong religious feelings, the reasons to join the overseas missionary work and its perception of China at the beginning; Part II: Elaborates Peter Parker's attitude to knowledge and Practice of medical missionary , describe missionary relations with the American Board of conflict, and then analyzes their participation in medical activities, the impact of missionary work; Part III: Analyze Peter Parker's motivation in the early American political and diplomatic activities , to explain its political and diplomatic activities - such as the Anglo-American Journey political lobbying, signed the "Treaty of Wang Xia" and "rounding" in the process of diplomatic behavior, on the Taiwan issue to the U.S. government reports - the cause of the conflict on the mission and impact; Part IV: Early American Protestantism close relationship between missionary work and business, explained the relationship between the business understanding and the missionary; Part V: Peter Parker's understanding of the pagan of China.In short, As with 's activities in China, either medical missionary work, or participate in political and diplomatic activities, or its business activities and the pagan understanding of China, all permeated with strong religious feelings and enthusiasm for expansion of the Gospel of Christ, he firmly belived that only the Christian civilization ,the Chinese would have a new life eternally, and myself - who are charged with this sacred mission.
