In the local chronicles of China written in Qing Dynasty and the beginning of Republic of China there are rich historical documents about folk dramas. The folk dramas in the local chronicles of China are the chore of discussion. Some forms will be found in the paper which can be explained these folk dramas. The cross-over study on the folklore and dramatic arts is the point of innovation. Besides, the exploration is significant for artistic form, artistic ideology, artistic origination, and the relationship between folk dramas and the development of social history. These local documents of China should be made good use to clear the relationship between folk dramas and region culture. These documents about folk dramas in the local chronicles of China will be classified and made a comparative analysis in order to abstract the generality and individuality. Furthermore, the study on the rules and reasons of the folk dramas variation is very important to hold the relationship between folk customs and folk dramas, and the later will how to exert an influence on the former. The folk dramas in the local chronicles of China written in Qing Dynasty have an important value for the study of the local customs and dramas. What's more, the exploration is significant for the development of the original folk dramas and the main dramatic form in the region, especially, the study of the performance history of ancient folk drama and the change history of ancient theatres.
