Its theme and content change with the lapse of time, the historical transition, scientific development, the evolution of materials technological process and continuous integration of foreign cultures, forming a unique folk art system. Zhuxianzhen Town's newyear wood-block paintings, either from the spiritual or the material perspective, is a kind of simple, universal form of the aesthetic in people's lives, which becomes the textbook for people easier to understand. Objectively, it played the enlightening effects on people's morality, history, customs, and cultural knowledge.As the process of modernization has sped up, the practice of hanging newyear paintings is challenged by newly civilized elements and patterns.
