A Study On The Chorography Of Urumqi

It is two high peaks in the revising of Xinjiang local Chronicles that the JiaQing period and the year of Xinjiang's founding which extending to the late of Qing dynasty. The two peaks were contributed to the political stability,economic recovery and sustainable developments which affect the cultural progress. The Chorography of Urumqi is almost the best one compared the other early leaders in the Xinjiang early repaired records. It detailed accounted in Qianlong twenty-four years (1759) to forty-three years (1778),the Xinjiang Urumqi commander-in-chief Zhen Xifu within the jurisdiction,the military,political,economic and cultural construction. It objectively reflects all aspects of Xinjiang Urumqi city's initial construction after the unity of Qing dynasty. So it is the political,economic and cultural accumulation of the Urumqi city in the middle time of Qing dynasty. Therefore The Chorography of Urumqi is the first one and the witness of the formation of the Xinjiang Urumqi city after Qing's unity,so it has high historical value,as most historians have high recognition.It is Wang Xi long who is the first one that used it as an ancient book to do the document research. He discussed in its written year,historical value and lexicographer,etc. He combed The Chorography of Urumqi in the debone transcripts of Gansu province library's collection,gave the comment and notes of the content and put it in the Xinjiang literature four series note. The book was published by Gansu culture press in 1995. But after I read,I found a lot of mistakes in the text and describes and contradictory which are needed to examine. Now I examine,summarize,give example and replenish the errors and the places which have on comments in the script of the Xinjiang literature four series. The historical data of the following three books including Urumqi matters,Urumqi miscellaneous poems,the reading notes micro hall. This paper could give the historical data to study of all aspects of social situation of Urumqi city in the middle time of Qing dynasty for the history and geography of the frontier. Meantime,this paper could give a help in using the historical data to demonstrate reasonably,giving historical review objectively and weighing its history status and value in the ancient literature of Xinjiang.
