Study On The Developmental Strategy Of Urrbanization In Urumqi

The party's 16th congress emphasized the development of urbanization. The party's policy will provide a broad stage for urbanization to develop greatly in the 21st century.The tenth Five-Year-Plan of China says that urbanization strategy should be carried out to boom mutual development of cities and countryside. The implementation of the western development is an important strategic decision by our country.A city constitutes a major port in social economic progress, so how to deal with urban construction determines whether the western development succeeds or not The urbanization in the western regions of China is one of hot issues in recent years and there are many different viewpoints on development in different areas. Meanwhile, urbanization is the key to many problems in Chinese economy and social development and urbanization in Xinjiang is more important than any other areas of China.Based on a great number of firsthand date, social sciences information and late statistics, the paper probes into the urbanization in Urumqi in many ways. It consists of Four sections. Firstly ,the author in the present paper discuses the general survey of urbanization in Xinjiang, including the history of city and Urbanization, its features, present situation problems and so on. Secondly, author expounds the developmental rule of urbanization in Urumqi, largely including current situation of urbanization, features, and it analysis the cause of over-urbanization, etc. Thirdly, it points out the main problems during the development of urbanization in Urumqi at present-Finally, author offers some suggestions and measures on how to promote the quality of urbanization in Urumqi.Because many subjects regard cities as their study objects in my paper. I combine traditional study methods of historiography with those of economics, geography, statistics, it also applies combination between macroscopic survey and microcosmic analysis. The paper aims at serving the scientific decision and becoming the reference to reality. There must be some faults in my paper, I'm eager to be criticized by the experts and scholars.
