With the frequency of China international exchange and the increasing of China international status, more and more foreigners began to learn Chinese, raised "Chinese hot" of foreigners learning Chinese in fever. And the vocabulary is the most direct tools for passing information. In the actual communication with Chinese, Chinese learners found that the listener would get the idea according to the fragmentary words they had put out if not related to concrete cultural conflicts, but if involved cultural clashes, the other side would be unsmiling on the face even they had completed the whole sentence, or will cause communication terminated. So, in the vocabulary teaching of TCFL, lack of cross-cultural awareness and intercultural learning methods will seriously affect the normal progress of communication.Based on the previously researchers'achievements on this field, and on the basis of using the quantitative and qualitative research methods, this paper has made an investigation on the Euro-American students of national department of Southwestern University from elementary class and intermediate class with questionnaire and test paper. In order to get the real data of Euro-American students learning Chinese vocabulary from cross-cultural angle, this paper find out some reasons for students'low efficiency of daily Chinese vocabulary learning according to the specific analysis on questionnaire by graph and data survey results, and finally puts forward some teaching suggestions of cultivating students'cross-cultural awareness of learning Chinese vocabulary.For Chinese and English have different language systems, the cultural differences of language vocabulary become more apparent, so researchers and teachers should pay attention to the urgency of Euro-American students learning Chinese vocabulary with cultural awareness, thus to promote TCFL vocabulary teaching efficiency. And ultimately cultivate Euro-American students'ability of effective understanding and flexible using of Chinese vocabulary in cross-cultural communication.
