Comparison Research Of Husserl And Habermas' Theory Of "Life World"

The life-world theory firstly put forward by E. Edmund Husserl plays an important role of changing example in the history of western philosophy. Based on human's thought, Husserl explores relation between human's conceptualized thought and living world, In his late life, he put forward the life-world theory which is the final core concept he left to the Phenomenon Science. Husserl's Phenomenon Science is to reveal and clarify again the origin and nature of the science, recover the integration of life world and the science to overcome the crisis caused by European modern science and to achieve the salvation of European civilization and humanity. It may be said that life-world theory results from internal drive of development of phenomenon science and external drive of European crisis of humanity.JurgenHabermas pays more attention to Husserl's life-world theory. As early as 1968, he had pointed out the relation between perception and life world in his perception and benefit. Habermas regards Husserl's life-world theory as the indispensible part of his communicative action theory. Life-world theory has diversified connotations; therefore, the explanation to life world should not deviate from the specific field of communicative action. In Habermas's theory system of communicative action, life world and communicative action depend on each other and compose a huge theory system. In Habermas's opinion, the basic characteristic of western modern society is the differentiation between life world and life system, which is also the research framework and basic idea to understand the realistic western modern society.
