The death and resurrection of the Author are linked. After the post-structuralism, the resurrection becomes the focus of the author's theory. The discussion about resurrection is divided into two aspects:Firstly, to recognize the metaphor of death, the thoery of the Author endeavors to make a further analysis of the subject. "The Death of the Author" is not a simple literal meaning-- a man or a woman does not write. In fact, it is a symbol of rebellion against authority, which expresses discontent with tyranny, bringing the innovation of literature. Although the Author does not occupy the core of the criticism, yet it is still very important and plays an active role in the reading and critical practice.Secondly, to discuss the thoery of resurrection on the basis of authority, intention and identity. After post-structuralism, the discussion about the author brings the Author theory into a new stage. It needs the text to realize the change of the authority from the inner nature of the author to the important element of reading and criticism. The intention is complex, which may be partly hidden or revealed. Searching for the author's intention becomes a better way in interpreting. The identity becomes diverse. The author can be a female, minority or other subject of marginal culture. The authority and intention can be achieved through the construction of marginalized identity. The author rises again-- in fact, partly returns.,The author and the reader coexist in the critical practice and the relationship between them is a dialogue, which benefits each other gradually in diversity.
