Studies Of The View Of The Author In The Context Of Modernity And Postmodernity

In this paper, the view of the author is put into the context of modernity and postmodernity, and make a system description, interpretation of the scattered speech of theview of author, in order to clarify the development, the evolution process and valueproposition of the concept of the author in the field of literary criticism, and thenthrough the interpretation of the view of the author to clear the development of thehistory of Western thought in this context.For the course of development of view of the author in modern and postmoderncontext, that is to say, the idea since the past150years from1860, the authorsummarized as follows: the authority of the author-the death of the author-theregeneration of the author.The authority is the opening of the main part in this paper.In the context of modernity, human’s subjectivity has gradually been discovered,"human" is placed in a supreme authority position, completely opposite to the object, inthe theory of literary criticism, the creators of this text will be placed in the center fortext interpretation, so the author interprets authority; with the swelling of theanthropocentrism, the drawbacks of the main’s centers have become increasinglyapparent, the subject gradually moves towards the end. People gradually abandoned theauthority of the position of a single subject, refract in the field of literary criticism of theconcept, that is, theorists began to subvert the author’s position of authority so as toexplore other subjects: work, the reader.Based on the perspective of marginalization ofdominant position, the author summarized as the death of the author, which is thedeconstruction of dominant position, was dug from the central position of the works andreaders, therefore, the original intention of deconstruction of the main has not beenachieved, only it transfer a main into another main.In the post-modern context,Heidegger, Gadamer, Habermas and other theorists put forward and perfectintersubjectivity, the center status of the main has been questioned and devastated. Theintersubjectivity emphasis on equality, freedom of exchange and dialogue, whichrequire multiple subjects involved in the activities of literary criticism for dialogue.Then, the author playing a major role in the activities of literary criticism has beenreborn, intersubjectivity requires equal exchanges with readers, works, literarysignificance, then explain the meaning of the text comprehensively and profoundly,sowe can see the status of the author has been reborn.Through the regeneration of author, the author involved in the literary criticism areplaced in an appropriate location, its status is not exaggerated, but emphasize thedialogue of the main on an equal footing in the literary criticism, reflects the fullpublicity of freedom, liberation, equality of the main in the history of Western ideas.
