| In the history of moral philosophy, the discussion of "universal value" of is always an enduring topic, while in the background of economic globalization, the subject has been given a new meaning. Although the matter is that in the East or the West, the traditional human values which binding people together already collapsed, but that does not mean that human beings should stop the steps of exploring "universal value".Global "universal ethics" is based on the worldwide interaction among people. The first chapter of this paper expressed an awareness that the continuous development of productive forces and the integration of the world economy is undoubtedly the root causes why we calling for "universal value", but one should not forget that Globalization "is not a process that descending from the sky, it is to promoted by the capitalist production relations, and therefore the " universal value " that the Western mainstream discourse advocated is no doubt with the brand of the bourgeoisie. The dual meaning of the globalization theory determines its positive progress and reactionary accepts in real life. What is truly "universal values"? To answer this question, we need to identify carefully and think seriously. In the second chapter, I believe that under the conditions of the present era, "universal values" should include the following four aspects:"bottom line ethics" which serves the practice of global interaction; values such as global environmental protection, peace and development which manages the human survival crisis; humanity, freedom, equality, and democratic ideas which is the result of human civilization and progress; people's liberation and the goal of comprehensive development as the ultimate value of human concern. However, to achieve the true sense of "universal value" is not easy, the mode of capitalist production as the carrier of the globalization of capitalist values leads the "universal values" to a wrong way. The third chapter discusses the reasons why the capitalist value is the misunderstanding of the "universal value". First, in theory, the universal values of capitalism are criticized by historicism, postmodernism, and Marxist theory and there are also contradictions among themselves; followed in practice, hegemony, imperialism and world environmental crisis and other issues are to some extent is a result of the globalization of capitalism "universal value" concept. In this chapter the author also believes that because of the falsity of the ideology and the social reality of capitalism, it is impossible for ordinary people to see through nature of the problem, which is the difficulties to achieve "universal value".Then what is the correct path to achieve "universal value"? Chapter IV of this article firstly listed the culture-oriented line which starts from the metaphysical aspect and the reform path which starts from the physical level, and then the Marxist line of host-guest organic interaction. At last the paper pointed out that socialism with Chinese characteristics opened up a direction for the realization of the "universal value". |
