Mandarin Union Version and Wenli Union Version were published in 1919, while they have very different translation methods and strategies. From the comparison of the aspects of style, the grammatical features, figurative expressions and vocabularies, we can see that Mandarin Union Version is inclined to "formal equivalence", with its faithful renderings to the original and its intelligible language; while Wenli Union Version is inclined to "dynamic equivalence", it has the obvious character of classical chinese literatue, the elegant style with good rhythm and polished language, and the taste of the chinese culture and philosophy.This article utilize "contextualization" to describe the traslation strategies of the two versions. From the end of 19th century to the beginning of 20th century, Chinese culture experienced a great change, the status of Confucianism was shaken. The "acculturation" manner which were mainly adopted by the Mandarin Union Version made this version depends less on the Chinese canonical form, so it was able to be flexible when encountered the transformation of Chinese cultural context, and took an active part in transforming and shaping Chinese culture, consequently had a profound influence on twentieth-century Chinese literature and culture; at the same time, the "inculturation" manner which were basically used by the Wenli Union Version made it try to use the style and language of chinese classic especially the Confucian classic to express the biblical ideology, finally this version lost its standing room in the period of cultural transformation of China.
