| Using word mode to create new vocabulary has becoming a common linguistic phenomenon, due to its strong vitality and productivity. As it is actively used in newspapers,videos, web etc., much attention was drawn to this phenomenon. Therefore, this thesis has arranged the word mode of Chinese and Vietnamese language, using descriptions, analysis and comparison, based on the wide range of language collection. Firstly, a large number of Chinese, Vietnamese language word modes are listed out and the similarities and differences of the both origins are explored to have a basic understanding of both languages. Furthermore, word modes of both languages are classified and the different types of word modes are compared according to their similarities and differences, hence categorizing and analysing the special types more thoroughly. Lastly, reasons for the rapid development between word modes of both languages were being examined from three aspects, which includes social environment, pragmatic subject and internal language structure to deepen the knowledge of word mode. |
