The Development And Prospect Of The Philosophy Of Art In Western

Nowadays, the irrationalism,as a prevalent ideological trend which along with the other modern epistemology, forces the Arts persistently keep its openness and multiformity. We contemporary people not only need such an inimitable philosophical spirit to sustain our disordered belief in this tousy condition but recur to it to explain various cultural phenomenons. Anyway, the philosophy of art should holds its independent character, shoulders its humane mission, that is the kernel what the arts really be the arts. Based on the old philosophy of art, the new one would refresh contemporary cultural context, re-generalize the trait of the historical philosophy of art, then look ahead the prospect. This treatise has its academic meaning because of its realistic requirement. This article elucidates the origin of the philosophy of art in Western, combines with contemporary cultural context and tries to analyze a series of hot topics as "art-ending", on this basis, we would like to predict the direction of the development of philosophy of art.There are three parts in the whole treatise, the first is exordium. In this part we will introduce why we select this topic and what the philosophy of art is as a conception. The second part is concise historical carding.According to my research, the conception of philosophy of art appeared to the working of Schelling at the earliest which situated on the top of his philosophical system. Hegel carried on Schelling's conception, he agreed with Schelling'dissertation that the Aethetics is the philosophy of art. However, Hegel added his two views included "art-ending" and "dialectic method" that made the thing different. Danner transformed his senior'theory from metaphysics to present world, he posted three factors which contained period, race and environment,re-explained the whole conception of the philosophy of art. In this part, the prospect of this conception will be the focal point of our explanation. The last part, we list present American theoreticist Danto as the opposite of those three classic philosophers, on the background of prevalent broadly accepted argument just like "art-ending" at present, our scholars have to search for a new solution of the crisis of philosophy of art, for that, the genealogy will break up a new researchful way without a doubt.
