Researeh On The Relationship Of Family Function, Perceived Social Support And Loneliness Among Junior Middle School Students

Recently,the mental health of junior middle school students has been becoming one of the most focus studies.The junior middle school students are in the youth adolescency and their have prematuration mentality.We must strengthen the education of mental health for the junior middle school students in order that the students can properly know themselves.Family function,perceived social support and loneliness are very import to the mental health of the junior middle school students.Therefore,this research discuss the link among famliy function,perceived social support and loneliness in the junior middle school students ,which is aiming to provide theoretical support for the mental health education of the junior middle school students.The instruments for this study are Family Assessment Device(FAD) by Epstein, Perceived Social Support Scale(PSSS) by Zimet and Loneliness Scale(UCLA) by Russell.This research investigates into four middle schools in Handan about 1041 students in order to analyze the link among the famliy function,perceived social support and loneliness.SPSS16.0 is adopted to analyze the inquisitional data.The findings are as follows:1.The junior middle school students have the intermediate level of amliy function,perceived socail support and loneliness.2. Students'family function is significant difference among different genders,city-and-countryside,grades,education levels of their parents and occupations of father.3.The interaction of gender and grade is significant in behavior control,the interaction of grade and city-and-countryside is significant in affective involvement,the interaction of grade and education levels of father is significant in affective involvement.4. Students'perceived social support is significant difference at education levels of their parents.5. Perceived social support has a main effect on grade.The interaction of city-and-countryside and grade in friend support.6. Students'loneliness is significant difference among economic postion and education levels of father.7. Famliy function,perceived social support and loneliness are correlation to each other separately. Famliy function and perceived social support are significant negative correlation.Famliy function and loneliness are significant positive correlation. Perceived social support and loneliness are significant negative correlation.8. Famliy function has positive prediction effects on loneliness. Perceived social support has negative prediction effects on loneliness.9. Perceived social support has the mediate effect between famliy function and loneliness.
