The Analysis Of Ambiguous Phenomena On "N₁ +de+N₂ " Structure

Ambiguity is always a hot topic in modern Chinese grammar study. It refers to one form of language containing two or more different kinds of meaning, resulting in two or more understandings, but these different understandings are grammatical and logical. Based on summary of the previous results, this paper makes a comprehensive analysis and research on the ambiguous problems in"N₁+de+ N₂"structure, and also discusses the generation conditions of modern Chinese ambiguous problems and methods of separating the ambiguity.This thesis consists of four parts.Chapter 1 is an introduction part, presenting the main condition of this paper, including the study of current situation, the use of theories and methods in this paper, the scope of research and the source of materials.Chapter 2 mainly analyzes the structural ambiguity of"N₁+de+ N₂". First, nouns that would produce ambiguity when involving in this structure can be classified by data collection, so that they are divided into three groups by types of noun, after then subdivided into nine groups by the semantic features and relations among nouns. Lastly, the semantic features of nouns in the"N₁+de+ N₂"structure have been discussed.Chapter 3 deals with the semantic relation of N₁ and N₂ in the structure of"N₁+de+ N₂".Chapter 4 concludes the whole research. It mainly summarizes the generation conditions of ambiguity and disambiguation methods.
