Study On Ambiguity Of "V+N" And Related Structure In Modern Chinese

Many scholars in our country have done some researches on ambiguity in modern Chinese, thoroughly and respectively. We have got great success in the study of ambiguity, but regrettably, we didn't research on it deeply, and we didn't figure out the relationship between syntactic ambiguities. As Mr.Zhu Dexi said:"Some nuanced and intricated phenomenons in grammatical system are always reflected in ambiguity.Therefore, the analysis of ambiguity will give us a lot of useful insights, so that we can go deep into the grammatical observation and analysis."We will study on ambiguity of"V+N"and its related structure to review ambiguity in modern Chinese.In introduction, we maily introduces the research's backgrounds and purposes. Besides introduction and conclusion, there are three chapters in this dissertation. Chapter one analyzes the structure of"V+N"totally. There are four situations considering the syllable: V_单+N_单,V_双+N_单/V_单+N_双,V_双+N_双. Among them,"2+2"takes above 90 percent, in which coordinate verb has much more opptunity to emerge ambiguity. When the dynamic nature of verb is weak, the typical and non-typical characteristics of the verb will co-occrurrence, Object and modification will at the same time occur. Animacy plays an important role. The noun's ways of allegeing and its semantic roles will impact on ambiguity.Chapter two gets more than 20 kinds of ambiguity structures which based on "V+N" through internal expanding. Ambiguity structures has level system and generation. The structure of the distribution is not parallel. The system transforms itself ascending or descending. The modle which we founded.can not solve all the problems about ambiguity. It is just universality after abstraction. It is layer by layer from modle to reality, It is a conditional implementation,not unconditional.Chapter three maily talks about two typical transformation that based on"V+N":"V+的+是+N"and"N+不+V+了". Both of them are connected with the syntactic properties of the verb. They both need monovalent verbs, bivalent verbs and the double semantic roles. The difference is in"V+的+是+N", the semantic features between"V+的"and"N"need constrainning and activatinge eachother There are similarities between them on interpretative.
