Research On Usage Of Short Time Adverbs Of Time

This paper which is based on the large-scale corpus, features a synchronic research on 11 short time adverbs of time in modern Chinese. We divide them the adverbs into 3 categories and study their characteristics and their differences. The paper is mainly divided into four parts, including seven chapters.Part one (chapter 0-1) summarizes the previous studies and make research on 11 adverbs. This part  classifies them into three categories based on their semantic and syntax characteristics.Part two(chapter 2-4) gives a thorough and meticulous research on the three categories such as mashang, dunshi, suiji. This part also reviews and analyses the syntax and semantics of every categories and their internal differencesPart three (chapter 5) reveals the similarities and differences in usage through contrast analysis about three kinds of short term adverbs of time such as mashang, dunshi and suiji.Part four (chapter 6).We conclude the whole paper and point out our shortages in the study and our necessary work in the future.
