No piano learner can bypass the fundamental training phase, which makes it indispensable during the wholepiano education. So far, the thesis summarized the historical theories of piano technical training and related textbooks published in the past, and then provided a detailed introduction of some new concepts and methodologies which emerged in the late 1980s as well. Furthermore, by comparing with the modern pedagogy, the author offered series of samples to illustrate those concepts, in order to consolidate the combination of techniques and music throughout the fundamental training phase, and finally establish physical connection to musical feeling.
