Political Unconscious Of Roots-seeking Literature

Root-seeking Literature as a literary trends in the mid-80s,which both have the theoretical and creative performance, have atracted widespread attention when it generate.the ambiguity and heterogeneous of the root-seeking ficition,and its important position in contemporary literature, has been attracting many researchers. Especially in the new century, the Research on the Root-seeking Literature have made some new breakthroughs. Many scholars have studied it from many new perspectives, and use different research methods,the research of Root-seeking Literature looks prosperous .Currently, the research on Root-seeking literature main focus on the side of traditional culture, national culture, comparative literature, modernism and so on.It is rare that reseaching Root-seeking Literature from the the perspective of political. This paper has selected this relatively unique research perspective, that is, proceed it from the political horizon, use Jameson's political unconscious theory, to analyse the Political implications of Roots-seeking Literature. Attempts to reveal the Political unconscious of the Root-seeking Literature which have been neglected for long.This thesis is divided into four parts:The first chapter explained the cultural context of the Root-seeking literature,atempt to find the the causes of it in the specific cultural context of 1980'.The Second chapter mainly to study the Creative concept of Root-seeking Literature,and analysis the characteristics of it Combined with the theoretical of political unconscious. Concluded that the Creative concept of Root-seeking Literature is just a utopian impulse,which with strong political aspirations.The third chapter as the the main part of the paper, mainly analyzes the text's political unconscious. Proceed from the text, respectively, from the genre mode, narrative form, language and other aspects of the text ,to dig out those "not present" hidden political narrative and the political desire within the text.The fourth chaper research the Root-seeking Literature from the perspective of the writers, atempt to reveal the intrinsic, inevitable connection between the"the Educated Youth of China"and Root-seeking Literature. And explain how could this political anxiety of "educated youth of china " influence the writers'creation.Finally, the conclusion part discusses the meaning and value of this this paper...
