However, in the eyes of ordinary people, he is known as chivalrous. He did things for his whims, and was not strained by the regular rules. But it is the performance of his straightforward character always that made him tolerate the repeated setbacks. Although he has never been an official, he was influenced strongly by Confucianism, and also have full of patriotic feelings. At the same time, Buddhism and Taoism have influenced him. It is under unhappy life circumstances that Zhang Hu was influenced by Buddhism and Taoism, but he finally sticked to his position to do something based on her own unchanged criteria. From the view of the whole background of the Tang Dynasty, Zhang Hu's real value lies in his outstanding performances.
