Mozi's Ideology Of Politics Ethics And Its Contemporary Value

Mozi is an outstanding thinker in ancient China, whose ideology of politics ethics is an important part of traditional Chinese thoughts. Achievements to research focus on Mozi and Mozi's followers and MoJing. But Research on base of the forming of Mozi's ideology of politics ethics is relatively short; especially researchers don't pay enough attention to the contemporary value. Aiming at inheriting and promoting traditional Chinese culture, this paper intends to the analysis of the ideology of politics ethics to absorb Mozi's reasonable thoughts to connect reality to explore its contemporary value. The research on Mozi's ideology of politics ethics has theoretical significance and important reality significance.This thesis is made up of four parts. The first part is introduction, in which the author states the significance of the study, reviews the relevant literature review of the study of Mozi's ideology home and abroad, and then illustrates the research methodologies. The second part presents a brief background of the forming of Mozi's ideology. During Spring and Autumn period, drastic changes have taken place in economic and political structures. The influence of the culture of Song and Yaoshunyu constitute the foundations on which Mozi's ideology is produced. The third part expounds intension of Mozi's ideology of politics ethics from the perspective of viewpoint practice. Mozi regards'Universal love and profit exchange'as his goal and thinks of'people'benefits'as his responsibility and earnestly precise what he advocates, which embody Mozi's outlook on value to benefit people and society as his criterion of behavior. Mozi is the representative of the Gentlemen social stratum. Through practice of exaltation of the virtuous, identification with superior, saving and laws and regulations, his political ideal is achieved. Mozi's ideology of politics ethics is generally about altruism, the idea of people-centered, pragmatism, the idea of rule by law. The fourth part applies Marxism point of view to the dialectical analysis of historical and contemporary value. As the representative of the class of poor people, he put forward good wishes of its class, however, it is evitable to have its limitations because of its times. This is why Mozi'thoughts is declining. By analyzing dialectically, this paper focuses on the contemporary value of Mozi's ideology of politics ethics. The thought of'Universal love'has great value to the forming the harmonious interpersonal relationship and good relationship between nature and human. The idea of'Condemnation of offensive war'has significance to peaceful rise abruptly of China and promotion the world harmony. The practice of exaltation of the virtuous appoints talented people to make our country powerful. The carrying out for Identification with superior is helpful for democratic and scientific policy-making and enhances the idea of collectivism. All these thoughts are worth expanding and developing nowadays.
