Study Of Contemporary Children's Bookdesign

Books are the most efficient bridge to understand and explore the boundless universe, and transform objective external world into subjective spiritual word. They can gradually lead children from perceptual thinking to rational thinking, and further to promote their comprehensive ability through harmonious application of hands and brains. The rudimentary edifying work that accompany with their mind growth play important roles in training hobbies and interests,personality,value orientation and so on.Binding design of children books have unique artistry and functionality, and play an important part in emotional education, aesthetic art and so on. It has profound influence in their growth. Designers must fully understand children's aesthetic psychological of every development stage, through which to know their requirement, so that they can design valuable books for children.In this paper, through binding design of children books from home and abroad, combined with deeply understanding of children psychology,emotion,aesthetic education and related disciplines, we carried out an overall study in binding design of children books, and a thoroughgoing and painstaking investigation to the display forms of binding design of children books. It pointed out the direction for designers; also it enriched the technique and connotation of binding design of children books. At last, we appeal for more and more attention to excavation and research of native culture. Designers should regard inheritance and development of national culture as pursuit of binding design of children books so as to design books and magazines really belonging to our Chinese children.
