University is the place to cultivating talents for the society, as demand changes, university education system is also in constant updates, now China's design college education is also on the reform. According to the need for high, specialized and pure talent in design industry, education should be refined, and setting different teaching system According to different professional. the professional institute design courses have been differentiated, they still copied western sketch teaching. system early in professional basic course settings, It haven't been proper improved according to our country's needs and our own design development. through years of teaching experience in basic professional graphic design course, the author realized profoundly that the college students should have some special basic training in design sketch of professional basic graphic design course according to the characteristics of the professional.Articles through the project background, content, purpose and meaning of, and illustrates the necessity of research on this topic. It is mainly from the development of University design sketch discusses design sketch course in graphic design in terms of the important position of teaching, and characteristics of design sketch course. Through the analysis of present situation of sketch teaching in graphic design, were made to the existing content in the form of teaching pattern and flattened elaboration of detail, and noted that such disadvantages of education mode and training of the students. This article is mainly targeted at graphic design professional design idea of drawing curriculum teaching reform, respectively from the method of representation of design sketch and creative methods to detail and design sketch teaching should take the form of pluralism. At last, it training the students'hands-on and aesthetic ability as well as develop and expand their design thinking consciousness according to the professional characteristic and demands of graphic design.
