Tao, Benevolence, Justice and Harmony are the basic theories of Confucius and Mencius political thoughtAt last, the thesis will show the ways to realize the Confucius and Mencius political thought from four aspects: Commanding oneself, Benevolence, Mastering People, recommending virtuous and talented person, trying to demonstrate a clear structure of Confucius and Mencius political thought. Another pursuit of this article is to restore the impact of the Confucius and Mencius political thought on history. Regardless of whether this thought is highly praised by the governors or the scholars, it is no denying that there is a huge impact of the Confucius and Mencius political thought on China politic, from abandoning all other schools'ideas and electing Confucianism the ruling thought to the Confucianism's revival in Song Dynasty. It, although coexisting and competing with the Legalism and Taoism, gradually becomes the governors'spiritual pillar to maintain the national political power, and finally they achieve social stability and harmony.Nowadays, it is full of various ideological trends in modern society and it is more meaningful to analyze, criticize and inherit and even develop the bright spot of the Confucius and Mencius political thought in today's reform and opening up. The bright spots of the Confucius and Mencius political thought should be learned and inherited ------the combination of Rule of Virtue and Rule of Law, the fusion of Common People First and Democracy and so on. they should be the new value in the construction of Socialist Political Civilization with Chinese characteristics, in the Democracy System and in the harmony society.
