The Study On The Northwest Industrial Company (1945-1949)

Northwest Industrial Company was important economic and military pillars of modern bureaucratic capitalism in Shanxi province, which once dominated the lifeblood of modern industrial economy in Shanxi, so the company occupied an important position in the industry history in Shanxi, in a period of time it was not only the important economic foundation of the people were pressed by bureaucratic capitalist and resistance of revolution in Shanxi, but also had a profound impact on social and economic life of the people. Between the years of 1945 and 1949, the company showed a lot of new features, such as remained and utilized the Japanese technicians who were prisoner in Anti-Japanese war, the company gradually changed most of production to military production, the company was more severe on the exploitation of employees, the company's operations to dead end, etc. All of these new features presented because of the special times in the context of the case. Through the studying of these new features we can not only expand the results of previous studies, rich content of modern economic history in Shanxi province, but also by the research of the company's production, sales and management in this period, we can further understand the operation of politics, economics and society of Shanxi in the period of the Liberation War, and deepen our understanding to the bureaucratic capitalist economy. At the same time, it can learn some useful experience and lessons which is useful to modern enterprises. During this period, the company experienced a process which from the beginning of resumption and development to final dead end, in which the company had had made to kinds of efforts in order to develop production, but it did not changed its fate of destruction because of the changing of its production character, but it was the company's exploitation to the industrial development of Shanxi and the precious spiritual heritage left that settled the important foundation for the industrial development in Shanxi after the founding of New China had been laid.
