Research On Shaoxing Lianhualao

Shaoxing Lianhualao was born a hundred years ago. With the breeding, development, maturity, decline and re-development under the human cultural environment of Yue region, it depicts the history of its own life. Holding the geographical and cultural attributes, for a hundred years, it has always been popular only in a limited area, and become a kind of grassroots art of the minorities. But it is a local music species selected in the first batch of the national intangible cultural heritage, which is one of the four major music species in Zhejiang Province. With the enhancement of Lianhualao's reputation and influence, we have to take an impressive review on this art individual. In addition to the concerns about its music nature, the author broaden her sight to the historical and cultural region as well. With several visits to the countryside, she cards the tradition of a hundred years history of Shaoxing Lianhualao, and explores its art influence provided by the history, geography and cultural environment of Yue region. With the analysis of its art and spreading features, she recognize the geographical and cultural attributes of this music species, and consider extensively the academic proposition that how to protect the survival of the traditional art under the ecological environment changed by history.This thesis is divided into two main parts:The first part is "Lianhualao and Shaoxing Lianhualao". First of all, it describes the history and geographical distribution of Lianhualao origin, which provide us the theoretical basis to research a certain branch of Lianhualao system. Secondly, from the aspects of the geographic and culture of ShaoXing region, the history of Shaoxing Lianhualao and its trend of localization spreading, this part shows the influence that the atmosphere of Shaoxing provides for the birth and development of Lianhualao art.The second part is "The art features of Shaoxing Lianhualao". It explains the art charms of Shaoxing Lianhualao from two aspects of language and music. From multiple levels, including the phonologic features of Shaoxing dialect and Shaoxing Lianhualao, the re-creation of language perform, the genre and regional features of music, it shows the artistic value of Shaoxing Lianhualao during its hundred years spreading.The epilog part proposes the corresponding consideration of the heritage and protection of Shaoxing Lianhualao.
