The Spirit Of Social Criticism In Comparative Study Of Lu Xun And Natsume Soseki

Marx tells us that conflict is universal, it is in everything. Therefore, contradiction exists in any society. Meanwhile contradiction is the unity of opposites. So, each culture has its existence rationality, also has its existing shortcomings. In sociology fields, many sociologists give ideal social model according social benign operation. In other words, with a critical perspective, the sociologists know that social existing shortcomings.Writer is different from the sociologist, their"Injustice Provokes Outcry"style, makes their social criticism more intense, more destructive. The style is too one-sided and less constructive. However, the spirit of social criticism is basic quality of a writer, which we should advocate.This article focuses on the spirit of social criticism with perspective in comparative study of Lu Xun and Natsume Soseki. Regarding spirit of social criticism, you need to make a clear explanation before further discussion. In introduction part of this article, it introduced the domestic and international research status of Lu Xun and Natsume Soseki, and then defined critical spirit of the community and further explained the spirit of social criticism in literature, made a basis for discussion of the social criticism spirit of Lu Xun and Natsume Soseki in this paper.In the first chapter in this paper, it explained social critical spirit of Lu Xun and Soseki Natsume respectively. Social critical spirit is an abstract concept. We have to make the discussion of Lu Xun and Soseki Natsume's social critical spirit specific or traceable. Therefore, in the first chapter of this paper, we discuss respectively the social critical spirit of Lu Xun and Soseki Natsume through their works to embody their own spirit of social criticism.Chapter II, III, it starts to analyze these two writers'social criticism with comparative study method. First, this comparison present the common spirit of their social criticism from three aspects: the ideological root,the cognitive values of literature,the interpretation and criticism of human nature. In the fourth chapter, it compared in the differences of this spirit. In this chapter, the comparative study involved three aspects: first, the thought of "broken" and "construction" for social culture; Second, the indomitable soldiers with wise, Third, different lonely journey of spirit. In a word, literature should complete its special and critical mission the society gives to it, to improve the whole community. Social development is a gradual process. Any society in its infancy stage and their old age, has its irrational factors upper hand. In these two stages of social development, social criticism spirit of literary tends to be more intense. Lu Xun and Soseki Natsume lived in these two stages. That is why their social critical spirit is strong.
