A Pedagogical Anthropological Research On Woman Drummers Of Muqam In Hami

Muqam of Hami, being an important component of that of Xinjiang uygur, has a long histroy and regional characteristics. Tranditionally, Muqam of Hami includes two types: mountain type and Hami type.The Uygur people living in the mountainous areas of Hami city enjoys entertainments very much, who love to take parties, love local folk arts, always hold folk activities like Maisilaves on the occassions of festivals or marriage ceremonies.Moqam of mountinous areas in Hami holds strong local characteristics, mainly singing and playing to Aijieke (Hami premiere) played by one or two men and drums by seven or eight women players.Man plays an important role in the transmission of the Muqam of Xinjiang uygur,while in that of Muqam in Hami, there are many women drmmers.The paper probes on women drummers role in Hami Muqam, mades detailed research on women drummer's role and their specialties in passing down Muqam in Hami mountainous areas. pointed out the nature and the future developing ways of this special group in the transmission of local Muqam and discussed the influence of Muqam transmissin on women's socialization, to find outh women drummer's contribution to the transmission of uygur culture.The paper includes six chapters:Chapter one: an introduction about the research status and research significance.Chapter two: described the living state of Hami women drummers from the aspects of geographical envirionment, history, language and religion.Chapter three: women drummers in the uygur society, focused statement and anylyzation are made on the attitude of the Islam, Hami people and their family to women drummer's learning of timbrel as well as their own feelings and thoughts after learning timbrel.Chapter four: The educational function of Muqam with women drummer, discussing the that the women drummers passing down. the Muqam, and the educational function on women drmmers Muqam had in its transmission.In Hamin Muqam, women drummers passing down Muqam in two ways:by society and by family.
