Opening the annals of Chinese arts, Chinese ink painting occupies an extremely important position, and has made a very brilliant success. However, since the twentieth century, the Chinese community has been in the long-term great dramatic transformation, especially since the time of reforming and opening up. With the growing process of globalization, art of traditional Chinese ink painting gradually lost its human environment. Both external and internal reasons once cause Chinese ink painting to be in a state of aphasia. First of all, the times change, the Western advanced technology and ideas has been introduced into China, and secondly, traditional ink painting because of conservative language has not reflected the state of modern psychology and the state of life, and modern ink painting came into being. Modern ink painting stood for Modernity and Nativity, and break through the modern quest, to actively explore the possibilities of the contemporary ink painting. Through the traditional ink painting materials, skills, picture-based content expansion, modern ink painting comes to the roads of diverse development, which also produced a lot of new school of art, and also composed today's modern ink painting colorful situation. Although the exploration of modern Chinese ink painting has remained in the art experimental stage and has suspected to copy the ideas of Western model of modern art, the spirit of experimentation is worthwhile.Based on the review of the evolution of modern ink painting, this article analyses and studies the language features of the modern Chinese ink in the difficult evolution of culture, then it explains the positive significance of modern ink painting in the spiritual, cultural levels. It made a new exploration and a try in the art language and tried to supply some deep thinking of in the future development of ink painting.
