Currently the ancient road site which distributed in China is the Chinese historical cultural evidences and bearers with the high historical, cultural, archaeological and ecological values. As a branch trail in the Shu Road of the Chinese ancient road, Zi Wu road should be given more attention. However, in the past, road site failed to concern for many years. The destruction of the road site is begot by the active and passive factors, resulting in weak efforts in protecting the site.The first part of thesis from the background of research issues analyzes China's current classification of the ancient road. And the system of Chinese ancient road is elaborate on importance, main path and historical values. Chinese ancient road establishes in a systematic framework in order to clear Zi Wu road positioning. In a separate chapter, thesis researches in an overall historical information, the old and new road of the geographical location comparative analysis, and the Qin, Han and Tang capital axis of the effects of innovation.
