To protect great-site has important theoretical andrealistic significance. Guanzhuang site is located in the western of Guanzhuang,Gaocun,Xingyang City. It is an important settlement site of Western Zhou dynastywhich occupies an area of1.3million square meters, consists culture accumulation ofthe Ming and Qing dynasties, Tang and Song dynasties and the warring states per iod,the spring and autumn period, the west Zhou dynasty, it is the representation of theCentral Plains culture during this period in the northwest of Zhengzhou, and hasimportant values of history, science, and art.The article combine our country’s achieved advanced achievements of theory andpractice, and draw lessons from the successful experience of great-site protection, andmake Guanzhuang site as the research object. The general situation of site isintroduced and the paper detailed analysis to the condition of the site, the wholeenvironment and the present situation of protection and management. On the premiseof guaranteeing Guanzhuang site’s authenticity, integrity, the paper put forwarddeclaring cultural relics protection units, delimiting the protection regionalization;contrast to the Er Litou site and combine the natural conditions, economicdevelopment and the population situation of the site, then put forward the protectionmode which is the combination of archaeological site park and historical andcultural agriculture garden, on this basis, further specific protective measures are putforward. According to the different site types and preserving situation, the paper putforward some ways for example venue display, identity display, recovery display,live performance, in the form of the public participation and so on, in addition on theaspect of organization,management and service specific measures also has been putforward in Guanzhuang site.
