Protection And Utilization Of Wuwangcheng Site In EZhou Of Hubei Province With The View Of Public Culture Service

Public cultural service is provided by the government or other non-profit institutions, which can meet the basic cultural needs of the social members. Chinese historic sites are very precious because they witness the human civilization and social development of our country. Protection and utilization of historic site resources is not only the internal requirement of the construction of public cultural services in our country, but also the important mission that the era have entrusted to us. In recent years,the protection and utilization of the sites has been risen as a national strategy with the significant increasing of Chinese comprehensive national strength. However, it still faces various challenges to protect and make use of the historic sites from the society,economy,technology and so on. Therefore,it is urgent to update the idea of development and promote the protection of the important historic sites with public culture service.The Wu Wangcheng site is an important historic site of the Three Kingdoms and the Six Dynasties period of China, which locates in Ezhou of hubei province. Besides, this site is valuable for archaeology and historical culture, which has been found to be the oldest royal capital of the Three Kingdoms and the Six Dynasties period of China so far.To explore the countermeasures of the protection and utilization of the Wu Wangcheng site in Ezhou, we adopt different methods from the view of the public cultural service,which includes literature research, field survey and summarizing based on the related research at home and abroad.This paper consists of five parts. First of all, we review the relevant research of public cultural services, site protection and utilization both at home and abroad. On the other hand, we also summarize the research of the Wu Wangcheng site. Secondly, we analyze the connotation and the characteristics of the public cultural services and historic sites, and hence discuss the relationship between the public cultural services and the protection of historic sites. Thirdly, we briefly introduce the development of the Wu Wangcheng site, and analyze the current situation of the site protection and utilization,then find that it faces many problems including the lack of systematic planning, fresh new idea and method, which seriously restrict the further development of Wu Wangcheng site. Finally, to overcome the problems mentioned before and ensure that the site could exhibit a powerful competitiveness in the future, we put forward some new measures based on the present situation of the public cultural service development of Ezhou, which includes scientific planning, renewing idea, innovative model, rich means and excellent protect system. Finally,we make a simple summary about our research,and introspect the defect of our research, then present the prospect in the future.
