A Study On The Change Of Folk Beliefs In View Of Village

Since 80's in last century,with the great success of reform and the socialtransformation, the country temples which were totally dismantled after new Chinafounded were in succession again got reconstruction, the folk beliefs activities whichwere hold down were in got revival. At present, this has already developed to be avery active social phenomena, and has a huge influence on every aspect of society,and causes the universal concern of the various communities. To research folk beliefsat the new rural construction background has important theoretical and practicalsignificance.This article is based on a field investigation to a millennium ancient temples -Berlin temple of the northwest rural areas, describes the change course of Berlintemple since the founding of China for 60 years in three phases and the beliefs changein their daily life of village people who take Berlin temple for belief center, revealsthe different forms of the folk beliefs, which are showed in its change course,analyzes the characteristics,the reason of the revival,the major social driving force ,as well as the impact to the village development of folk beliefs of northwest ruralareas at present . This, to a certain extent, presents the survival evolution logic of thenorthwest rural folk beliefs, shows the internal relationship between folk beliefschange and village change. On this foundation, this article finally proposes that weshould guide folk beliefs to adapt the socialistic new countryside construction.The folk beliefs is a kind of tool to observe the local social change. The methodsare field investigation and documents. The article uses the functional cultural changetheory, gives attention to the social change, attempting to find the important worththat folk beliefs has on the agrestic social structure and the various existent questionsthat folk beliefs has in the new village construction at present . This is advantageousto us to adopt accurate attitude and measure folk beliefs, in order to make the folkbeliefs to betterly adapt to the construction of current harmonious new village.Through the case study, we have the following conclusions: temple is under theimpact of government, village and family (individual), and these impacts intertwined to act to temple. Temple constructs the vast network of relationships through thevillage belief activities, strengthens regional links and contact between members ofthe village, folk beliefs ritual activity is a remedy and rich to the country culturalentertainment activities, promote local economic development, play an important rolein traditional folk moral enlightenment function. Through the case analysis,combining the related content of current new rural construction, based on the culturechange rule, the paper finally puts forward that relevant management agencies shouldtreat folk beliefs correctly in the construction of new countryside, to absorb theessence of folk beliefs and carry forward, to resolutely to clamp down and guide thenegative aspects of it, to achieve full activate farmers' enthusiasm, and to carryforward the fine traditional culture, to service the socialism new rural construction.
