Since ancient times, the folk belief never lost its original religious attributes on the fertile soil of Chinese culture, it syncretizes in the long river of history with various cultural, and added different local characteristics. The folk belief governs the people in all aspects of life, and it is inseparable with people’s daily life.HouShan folk beliefs appear in the era of Emperor Yan&Huang, originated from the ancestor’s naturism. After thousands of years’development, it adopted to the needs of the changing society and the needs of different groups. Because of these evolutions, nowadays HouShan folk beliefs still have good vitality and strong influence in North China (Beijing, Tianjin, Hopei Province, Shanxi Province and Inner Mongolia), especially in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hopei triangle area, and attracted lots of foreign and domestic scholars studying on it.Combined previous research findings with my own investigation, I find that HouShan folk beliefs has a character of multi-religious culture infiltration in her long process of development. HouShan folk beliefs survived in the disaster of the Cultural Revolution and revived a new life. In current community, there has been a renaissance trend of religious custom.This paper focuses on the Houshan folk belief culture, and makes historical evolution and the present religious folk performance as clue, and uses two developmental patterns, evolution and extrusion, as research background of HouShan folk beliefs. The analysis focuses on the description of HouShan temple fair on March15th, spring festival sacrifice, traditional religious custom of HouShan folk beliefs and their ceremony script HouTu BaoJuan; the article also discusses on the multicultural interaction and the revival of religious practices. Meanwhile, the ceremony, tradition, oral and literal script, which are related to HouShan folk beliefs, were putted into different contexts and observed how HouShan folk beliefs compromised on other religious cultures and local tradition in its process of evolution, and estimates the result of this combination.
