The doctor-patient relationship, a classical topic of medical ethics, has been studied for centuries and is open to further research, which is the foundation of the comparative study of moral regulation in China and in Britain. Based on the wider and wider gap between China's rapid economic development and backward value awareness, we comparatively studied the moral regulation of doctor-patient relationship in China and Britain. The great values of this study are as follows: promote mutual understanding, broaden our horizons, obtain inspiration and set models. In this paper, we studied theoretically and practically the past and present situation of moral regulation in China and in Britain. By comparison and analysis, we drew the following conclusions: I . The need for moral regulation develops similarly both in China and in Britain. II. The patient doctor-relationship presents an unstable state in China, while a stable one in Britain. III. In China, moral regulation deals more with economic problems, while in Britain, technical ones. IV. The doctors, as well as the patients, have different moral images, and get different moral education. V. They also have different understanding of moral regulation and value of ethics.Accordingly, some suggestions were given to advance the moral regulation of doctor-patient relationship in China.
