Lin Su has taken a special place in 20th century'sChinese literary world for his special way of translation and productive translations. I discussed four aspects as follows:Chapter One: The statues about Lin Su's translation and the factors which lead to his choice of translation;Chapter Two: The comparative literature ideology in Lin Su's prefaces and postscripts of his translations.Chapter Three: The relationship between Lin Su's translations and his own productions.Chapter Four: The relationship between Lin Su and New Cultural Movement.So I drew the conclusions that:1 ^ Both of Lin Su's translations and his Creations are based on Chinese cultural tradition to explore the relationship between Chinese literature and world literature. He has never exclude and deny Chinese traditional literature during his translation. The translation movement is based on Chinese literature's own request. And it has been digested by Chinese literature and become a new content of it.2 The lingual and style form of Chinese traditional literature haven't become the hindrance in foreign literature translation. On the contrary, foreign literature has melt into Chinese literature and enriched the aesthetic experience of Chinese literature. It also means that the translation of foreign literature is based on Chinese literature's own renovation and creation. At the mean time, insisting on Chinese traditional literature and Chinese culture will not hedge us to take foreign literature as the basic resource of Chinese literature's renovation and creation.Lin Su's translations have successfully accomplished the task of combining Chinese literature with foreign literature in Chinese literature's background.
