Gaogong's Reform And Policical Situation In The Middle And Later Period Of Ming Dynasty

This thesis deals mainly with the official refornu financial reform and administrating the frontier of Gaogong, and attempts to analyze the influence what Gaogong had done. Based on that, Gaogong's historic position will be approved again, and an objective appraise will be given to him. Moreover, it can offer some beneficial advice for the reform today.This thesis is divided into six parts. Firstly, simply looks back the study history of Gaogong. Secondly, it introduces the key-points of Gaogong's all-life, then we can understand Gaogong in general idea. Thirdly, based on analyzing the crisis of the government, official corruption, the financial crisis and the severe frontier crisis during the middle period of Ming dynasty, the thesis analyzes the background of the reform. Fourthly, it is the main content, this part expounds Gaogong's official reform, military system reform and financial reform. In order to stress the achievement that Gaogong had done to the frontier, it also expounds the relation between Gaogong and "Anda Fenggong" . Based on that, we can know how Gaogong managed this important history event. Fifthly, from analyzing Gaogong' s reform, this part attempts to give a total appraisement to the influence that Gaogong had done to the reform in the middle and later period of Ming dynasty. Lastly, it is the appendix. Including the key-experience of Gaogong, the main literature used for the thesis, such as Gaogong's works historical literature, the works about Gaogong written by today* s people, some papers and the reference books.
