| Under the special history environments of the late Ming Dynasty, evoked by the strong Jing-shi thought, a group with foresight gathered around Chen Zilong in Songjiang and compiled Ming Jing-shi Wen-bian, which put an important effect on the people of that time and late age.The thesis tries to analyze the main members of compiler group, bring out the Jing-shi thought and research on great significance to late age. The thesis is divided into three parts: the preface, the main body (three chapters) and the additional part.The preface is to expound the present research situation and significance of Ming Jing-shi Wen-bian research as well as the method and point of view of this thesis.The first chapter is to discuss the compiler group of Ming Jing-shi Wen-bian. The core group, who undertook the responsibility of selecting and compiling, were well-educated and active members with strong Jing-shi thought in Songjiang. The peripheral group were made up of members who read and checked over Ming Jing-shi Wen-bian. We can draw a conclusion that the compiling activity got extensive support from government officials, well-known persons and leaders of parties and so on. The number of compiler group was large, which showed the popularity of Jing-shi thought. The social conditions of Songjing made the form of large compiler group possible.The second chapter is to discuss the implication of Jingshi thought on Ming Jing-shi Wen-bian, which included 6 parts as follows: being useful to the current society; emphasizing both moral and substance Jingshi; developing agriculture and strengthening army in order to build a stong country; adjusting the policies according to the situation; accepting the useful knowledge of western science; attaching great importance to geography. The main Jingshi thought of Ming Jing-shiWen-bian was within the scope of traditional Confucianism. The Jingshi thought emphasized more importance on substance Jingshi than moral Jingshi, Which tried to find methods of dealing with domestic trouble and foreign invasion in later Ming Dynasty in order to strengthen the Ming Empire. On the other hand, Jingshi thought in later Ming Dynasty had some different characters from old age. For example, Jingshi thought of Ming Jing-shi Wen-bian emphasized being useful to the current society, adjusting the policies to resolve new crisises and thinking highly of geography and western science and so on, which made Jingshi thought richer. Thus it could be seen that Jingshi thought could enlarge its scope with the development of society.The third chapter is to discuss the important influence of Ming Jing-shi Wen-bian on late Ming society and late ages. The Jingshi group did not know about the essence of whole social problems and could not save the Ming Empire, but their thought still put an important effect on the people at that time and late ages. On the one hand, by the compiling activity of Ming Jing-shi Wen-bian, Jingshi thought was disseminated in Songjiang and even Jiangnan, which urged the change of study style in Jiangnan from "empty" to "real". On the other hand, Ming Jing-shi Wen-bian had an important influence on the compiling activity of a series of Qing Jing-shi Wen-bian.The additional part is to discuss some questions related to the thesis.
