This paper studies the policies of China and Japan to Korea during 1870s and 1880s. It falls into four parts:introduction,relationships among China,Korea and Japan during the violent changes in the situation of the modern East China,the policies of China and Japan to Korea during 1870s and 1880s,and the comparative analysis of the policies of China and Japan to Korea during 1870s and 1880s.The first part introduces the current studies on this subject,purposes;of this paper as well as the research approaches adopted.The second part briefs the historical process of the collapse of the old system of relationships among China,Japan and Korea after they were impacted by the expansion of the western forces.The third part is the key part making brief analysis of the start,development,objective and subjective factors of the changes in the policies of China and Japan to Korea,and the different stages and the inevitable outcome of the development of the policies of China and Japan to Korea.The last part makes comparative analysis of the causes,contents,features and influence of the policies of China and Japan to Korea.
