Zang Kejia is both a celebrated poet and an important proser in the history of Modern & Contemporary Chinese literature. In his 70 years of writing career, his creation had experienced the change from "poet over prose" to "prose over poet". Zang Kejia has always been famous for his poetry, his fame in poetry suppressed those in prose, and so the study by critics on his prose is far less than those on his poetry. Though nearly 20 volumes of prose collections, over 1 million words in prose composing, presented a splendid sight of Zang Kejia's unforgettable achievement in prose. In opinion of the writer of this dissertation, Zang Kejia has not only been fruitful in the stylistic construction of modern Chinese Poetry, but also remained sober-hearted stylistic conscious in the stylistic construction of Prose, he has been keep innovating and exploiting for the deepen and development of stylistic constru-ction of Prose. His prose has not turned poetry like, but in his prose, you would feel the beautiful touch of poet, just like the sight of a pure jade, which distinctly showed the style of his prose that has both the "beauty of architecture, painting and music" and a strong tinge of the Chinese native spirit. In this dissertation, the writer analyzed the stylistic difference between Zang Kejia's poetry and prose, expounded upon the harmony of the succinctness, lyric and literary grace in his prose writing, clearly showed the poetic characteristic of "poetic prose" . The culture quality of Zang Kejia's prose came from his cultivation in language, tradition and humanism spirits. The writer hope through the analysis of the style of Zang Kejia's prose could enrich the theoretic production of Chinese Contemporary Prose.
