Li Yu who lived in the late of Ming Dynasty was a something of complicated dramatist. There was very much difference in the commenting on him. His Xian Qing Ou Ji which was written in the late of his life was looked as the summary of dramatic art and dramatic theory especially. But, Li Weng's ten dramas was given very different comments. Someone who didn't agree with Li Yu said that Li's works were "obscence","catering vulgar", "having dirty interesting" and "flimsiness and monotony", while others thinking highly of Li Yu said that his works were the champion of all in that dynasty indeed. (quoted from Wu Mei's Chinese dramatic summary theory). This article will try hard to avoid to paste a simple label to the dramas of Li Yu for qualitative assess, and reread his dramas on the basis of conducting with his writing practice and theory and his selfish departmentalism. This article think Li Yu's selfish departmentalism is a trinity of stage ,amusement and audience, and his dramas were the perfect presentation of this theory. The elegant shape of stage, the distinctive rhythm of stage, words full of motion and the arrangement with one thread to the end materialized his selfish departmentalism——"Writing is just for Performing",which was set out from Xian Qing Ou Ji. Using freely many methods of presenting amusement, Li Yu made his dramas appear a wonderful amusing situation, which is the vivid notation of his selfish departmentalism of amusement that "I will Worry if There are no Audience Laughing."The popular topic, fantastic plot, and popular words are so fit for the appreciating habit ,aesthetic mentality and reception degree that it was greeted by most citizens, which made the women and children also know Li Weng well. All these fully materialized audience first theory of Li Yu.
