Innovation And Human Development

Innovation is the essential category of knowledge economic society, just as manufacturing is the essential category of industrial society. So, the study of human development must be connected with innovation. The theoretic field has researched much about human importance in innovation, disclosing the significance of human quality in innovation. But, it is regretting that most scholars deem that it is upon education sector and government to foster human quality, which disregards human development and enhancement in innovation. Namely, they believe that the foster of human quality lies in external surroundings but has nothing to do with innovation. In fact, there are two effects in innovation. That is, innovation creates the world as well as human beings. The degree to which the human alters the world is consistent and simultaneous with the alteration of human himself.There are four aspects that represent the significance of innovation to human development. Firstly, from the essence of innovation, innovation is the highest substance of human beings. Secondly, from the internal mechanism, innovation contributes to the enhancement of human quality. Thirdly, from the social effect of innovation, innovation is the internal motive force of social development. Lastly, from the value of innovation, innovation advances human free and all-around development.
