A Report On The Translation Of China’s Low-Carbon Urbanization Process And Pathway

China’s Low-Carbon Urbanization Process and Pathway, published in Chinese Journal of Urban and Environmental Studies (CJUES), was translated from an informative Chinese source text.Through preparation, translation, modification, the translator got to know that information text should be translated in literal way mainly. Besides, under the supervisor’s guidance, the translator revised the target text in vocabulary, word order, sentence connection to reach textual coherence. The report shows the whole process of the practice and summarizes different methods adopted in target text revision. Hopefully this report could bring some insights to future studies on informative text translation.
