The purpose of the research is to provide the referenced conclusion to set down the reasonable strategy of visual communication design aiming at smoothing the information communication process. What I do is to analyze the information itself and the communication process using the theory of informatics, symbolism and communication.Firstly, having researched on the relationship between the visual communication design and the information communication I put forward the opinion that the visual communication design is one way of information communication. Secondly, supported by this opinion I made further research on what the word 'information' means in the visual communication design field with a conclusion that there are three grades in the information living in the content and the form of the visual communication design: The first grade is the technical information. The second is the semantic information. And the third is the aesthetic information. Thirdly, I study the information communication process in the visual communication design field in which I discuss that the elements of the process how to affect the information communication. Finally, with the above research I draw a detailed strategy on how to make the information communication more effective in the visual communication process.The final conclusion is that in the visual communication design process, the factors that have effects on the information communication include the information, the designer, the audience and the medium. It is necessary to have a good and all round control of them for designers to make the information communication more effective.
