Web page as a media of information provides designer with a brand-new field and topic. As more and more people involved in internet, the motivation presents a trend of variousness. To web page designer, it goes a more mature way under such circumstance especially in design theoretics. Web page design has evolved from original "huckster" style business brief introduction to concentration on individuation, and been promoted to present the cultural intension of certain business. In the view of web page design technique, it pays more attention to humanistic operations, which made more and more web page design works occurred into our vision.Considering we lived in such a society massed with information, we certainly concern how to spread it fast and effectively, at the same time keep it comprehensive and acceptive. In this thesis, we mainly discussed on this topic.In this thesis, we first describe the common concepts and techniques in web page design, and then introduce the related idea of information propagation which is also important to design activities, further analyzing human physiological and psychologi —cal re-action during this propagation. After investigating on existing web page design works, we focus on the problem of which factors affect the visual information transformation activities, and then provide a solution to such problems. Finally, we submit a set of design principles based on the solid analyses of many outstanding design cases. Under such principles we show web page design patterns corresponding to design practices.
