From 1986, the Chinese contemporary writer Wang Anyi's novels are full of abstract discussions and rational analysis, which challenge the reader's aesthetic standard and habit, as well as the present theories. This treatise is dedicated to such subject overlooked by many experts and theories, seeking a new point of view to observe and understand this outstanding narrative phenomenon. First, her novels are placed in the general framework of global literature in order to trace back to its origin. Then, the French writer Romain Rolland is proved to influence Wang Anyi greatly by her own word.So the treatise compares the novels of the former with Romain Rolland's Jean Christophe, and extract the narrative characteristics called "Differentiation and Analysis" from a host of facts, which is applied to illustrate the problems associated with specific texts. They are divided into several parts such as "word, motivation, region and reason " based on their inner links. The treatise studies their common ground and difference, hoping to grasp the essence and regular pattern of the narrative characteristics called" Differentiation and Analysis", and demonstrates how they improve the literary expression, as well as deepen people's cognition.
