Martin Heidegger should deservethe honour of one ofthe greatest pMcsopers in the history of western philosophy in the twentieth century. His abstruse and thrilling thought has attracted widespread and enduring concern at home and abroad. People have been studying it from different visual angles. The purpose of this dissertation is to present fate, destiny as a new visual angel to understand Heidegger,so that people can understand it more comprehensively and more precisely. However, this dissertation particularly emphasizes over and over again mat this visual angd is only one of many visual angels to understand Heidegger, so it doesn't declare that it can, and it is impossible, embrace all his thoughts. But it can be said that with mis visual angel to scrutinize his basic thoughts is practicable. This dissertation is mainly composed of tour parts as following:The first part briefly expounds some life experiences which had a significant and far-reaching influence on Heidegger's whole mought In this part, the dissatation points out that all what Heidegger heard in the toll of the church in his town and what the thought on me field way and in the little log cabin on Todman hill are the bewilderment and comprehension in face of fate. As a result, this dissertation makes it clear that as far as what Heidegger had thought in his whole life is concemed, the thought of fate is the main thread which runs through his lifetime. From three aspects, the second part mainly expounds and proves that the core problem which was inquired by Heidegger in Being and Time, that is to say the meaning of Being, finally speaking, is the fate of individual. Firstly, this dissertation demonstrates that that Heidegger stipulated the basic construction of being-there as being-in-the-world means two things. On ore hand, he admitted that individual is determined, which factly is the so-called throwness andfall. However, on me another hand, he still tried to resist this kind of fate with individual activity. Secondly, this dissertation shows clearly mat what Heidegger's discourse about Truth indicates is to as long as being-there comes into being, he is doomed to deal with definite people, thing and substance. And nowhere can he find any reason. Finally, thisdissertation points out mat what Heidegger said about death, guilt, temporality and History wants to stress is the doomed irate potentiality. That is to say, as long as being-therecomes into being, he is inavoidably faced with choosing. Howerehis any choice must be affected and restricted the factors which he has no way to control.. Especially, although he has many potentialities, he can only chooseoneof them and realize it.,The third part argues from three aspects mat the thought of destiny is the boundless boundary of Heidegger's thoughtin his later stage. Firstly, this dissertation points out that the essence of me turn of Heidegger's thought in 1930s lies in the change of his understanding of Being and fate. That is to say, at this time he thought Being to be equal to fate and regarded fate as the dual moving of concealing and clearing, Secondly, this dissertation demonstrates that all Heidegger's thoughts in the later stage about art, science and technology, language are expanded revolving around destiny:art is the realm where destiny reveals itself, science and technology are belonged to the clearing destiny ,what language brings to people is the due of destiny. Finally, this dissertation makes it clear mat what Heidegger indicates by the discourse about man is the thought as following: h is by man that destiny clears itself. Man is pertained to the moving of destiny. The doomed responsibility of man lies in hearing the summon of destiny.According to Heidegger's mought of fareand destiny, the fourth part reviews several disputed issues in the studyof Heidegger The first issue is about the theme and tre so-called tum of Heidegger's thought. This dissertation points out mat both headier stage and in later stage the theme of Heidegger's thought are fate and d...
