The Research Of Oil Painting's Early Development In Northwestern Area

As a worldwide art, oil paining rose from Europe and originally stemmed from egg paining. The learning of it by Chinese, as an art discipline, from Europe in system and the starting of their own educational setup, exactly speaking, began from the May Fourth Movement, and it was already in fetus in the 30's of 20th century.There are five parts in this thesis.The first part introduces the two stage of the oil painting's early development in northwestern area. In the first stage, the inland oil painters were attracted to northwestern area by the plentiful cultural foundation and laid good basis for its future development. The second stage presents the oil painting's development in northwestern five provinces from the Liberation to the "Cultural Revolution".The second part provides analysis about specific paintings in different five provinces, including their respective art style, the intrinsic aesthetic ideas and the influence upon future development.Through the analysis about the local manners and practices reflected from the oil paining, the third part reveals the characteristics of locality and nationality showing in the early northwestern oil paining.In the fourth part, the thesis analyzes Lvsibai and other person's teaching ideas and teaching system, and sums up the development process of early oil painting's teaching in northwestern area. Meanwhile, it also touches upon the educational and teaching institution such as Department of Art Northwest Normal University, Xi'an Art College and etc.The author gives prospect about oil painting in northwestern area in the last part. The author believes that through making more study about local cultural heritage, succeeding to drawing upon local cultural spirits, taking multiple developments based upon the northwestern area proper, we can get flourishing situation with oil painting which shows sharp locality and nationality of northwestern area.
